Now Entering the Final Day...

Dear Swaggies,
Last night was the penultimate workout in my 30 day immersion project. I went and worked out my legs with my friend Nick. This one was tough because I needed to study for my speech today, but I found time to go and workout. My knee was hurting pretty bad again last night, but I just had to power through it. It did, however, make me wonder how soon I am going to need knee surgery. I am guessing really soon. Either way, it was a good workout, despite the pain. I am honestly feeling myself getting stronger, and I just feel a lot better than I used to, physically that is. Well I will update you on the final workout when I return. Until next time, Swaggies.

Post for my Bro...vela

Dear Swaggies,
I would like to update you on the events on that transpired last night, as well as give a shoutout to an awesome bro of mine. Well first, I worked my arms and abs again, and it went well. I think I am actually getting stronger, because I am able to lift more weight now with the workouts I do. Ok, it is shoutout time! Since my 30 days are winding down now, I think it is time to give a very special thanks to Nick Favela, who has been my workout and sometimes venting partner for these past 30 days. He has helped me in more ways than one, some of which I shouldn't mention on here, but he deserves a lot of credit for the success I have had. So, thanks Nick. I appreciate it Brother. Until next time, Swaggies.

And Special Thanks to....

Dear Swaggies,
I need to catch you up on the goings on from this weekend. I was unable to workout on Saturday, because I was extremely busy at a recruitment conference for my fraternity. It was overall a busy day that I just couldn't find the time to go and workout. I guess what that makes me feel is that I really only find the motivation to workout when I am not busy the rest of the day, it just makes me want to workout more, I guess. I am actually going to workout here in about 30 minutes. Until next time, Swaggies.

P.S. Shoutout to my mom for following my blog and commenting, you don't know how much you are helping me out.

I am no Lionel Messi...that's for sure

Dear Swaggies,
Friday I didn't exactly "workout" per se. What I DID do, however, was play soccer with some of my friends. Now this doesn't sound like much, but I am so bad at soccer, that it is quite the workout for me. I didn't actually do that bad, but I definitely got some good cardio work. I might play soccer again sometime, but I might have to be coaxed into it a little more than last time. Until next time.

I Used to Workout, then I Took an Arrow to the Knee

Dear Swaggies,
I wanted to inform you of the goings on of the past few days. First, I hurt my knee on Wednesday night, which was no good. I had to cut my workout short, which upset me greatly. I was still able to get some workout done, but since it was my legs day, it severely limited what I could do. Overall, the night was fine, but my knee was not happy with me after my workout. I am going to attempt to leave a video describing my knee hurting, hopefully it works. Until next time, Swaggies.

Finding Time...Fairly Easily

Dear Swaggies,
I got into the gym pretty late last night, which wasn't good for time management, or so I thought. Apparently, I can get my workout routine done in about 30 minutes, which is kind of crazy. I definitely know now that time can't be used as an excuse for not working out. I worked out my arms again last night, along with my abs, which is definitely the area I need to be working on, in my opinion. Overall, though, the workout is going well, and I am still planning on continuing my workouts even after the assignment is done. I would like to hear from everyone about their opinions on why people don't use the gym or other fitness areas even when they are convenient, if you would, please. Thanks guys. Until next time, Swaggies.

Finding My Motivation

Hello Swaggies!
I would like to apologize for the infrequency of my posts lately. These past couple weeks have been pretty hectic. We aren't here to talk about that, though! Working out over spring break was not easy. It really became difficult because I did not have the equipment to work out like did at Ball State. I was still able to get to the gym a few times, and it worked out fairly well. Once I got back to Ball State, it became so much easier to get myself up to go to the gym. My motivation cam back extremely quickly. I guess what I found out is that a lot of motivation comes from the convenience of having an easy way to do the task that we want to accomplish. I would like to hear all of your opinions on what are the major factors are in motivation. Just comment below so I can get an idea of what the consensus is for all my followers. Until tomorrow, Swaggies.

Problem Solved!

Dear Swaggies,
Sorry to have taken so long to post, but it has been a busy past couple of days, what with spring break and all. Here's the update: I have found a way to workout while home! I am going to the Y with my dad while on break. This is great since I can continue my workout with some of the same equipment, plus I get to have a workout buddy, which like I have said before, is a great thing to have. I am going to take Sunday's off from workouts, so I will tell you how Monday goes, which will be arms day again, which is always worth looking forward to. Until then,

More...WEIGHT!

Swaggies!! Good to be talking to you again, after the 4th day of my workout. Today was another legs day, and I upped the weight considerably tonight. I was even doing over 400 pounds on the leg press, which was surprising even to me. It mostly came from the fact that I was working out with a partner, which pushes me to do more weight. Besides the motivational aspect, it is good bro time. Or girl time. Whichever applies to you. I have to say, I am extremely motivated to do this workout now. I don't know what it is, I just like to do this stuff. Could be from having music, maybe from having a workout buddy. Either way, I am enjoying this so far. Hope it stays that way. Until tomorrow, my friends.

Day 3: I was RUNNING

My dear Swaggies. Sorry to take so long to post about the 3rd day of my workout, I spent a lot of time in Club Bracken today. Anyway, today was the second day of upper body workouts, and I upped the weight that I was lifting, so it was much more strenuous than before. I also ran some tonight, which kind of killed me, because I have not ran in a long time. Word of advice for the day: Have a workout buddy. Seriously, just do it. Makes things a lot better on so many levels. Back to the legs for tomorrow. Until then, my Swaggies!
